The Operating Engineers Training Institute of Ontario (OETIO) has been in operation since 1982 and has two, first-class training campuses – one in Oakville, the other in Morrisburg.
The International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 793
The International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 793 represents thousands of crane and heavy equipment operators in Ontario’s construction industry. Local 793 stands in solidarity with the TCBN by actively participating on the coalition's Construction and Apprentice Committee and by providing support in the screening and selection process for apprenticeship candidates coming through the community benefits stream.
TRAINING
The OETIO offers tower and mobile crane operator training. The Institute also trains students on all types of heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, tractor-loader-backhoes, forklifts and concrete pumps, and offers construction safety training programs.
