AMAPCEO is a member-driven, politically non-partisan union of more than 14,000 professional employees, dedicated to providing outstanding representation and other services to our members. We protect members’ rights, defend Ontario’s public services, and advocate for better working conditions for everyone. Established in 1992, AMAPCEO has built a strong record of negotiating innovative collective agreements, developing a collegial, problem-solving approach to dispute resolution, and advocating for a professional public service. Members include: policy analysts, financial analysts, auditors, economists, mediators, arbitrators, educators, information technology professionals, scientists, chaplains, veterinarians, program supervisors, child and youth advocates, clinical coordinators, psychiatric patient advocates, media relations and communications officers, epidemiologists, arts granting officers and many others. The union also represents senior economic officers in the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, who are based in Canadian high commissions, embassies and consulates abroad.
